This position is for University of Colorado ORP retirees.

Job Summary:

The University of Colorado - Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a part-time hourly position to work on high level special projects. This position will not involve clinical activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Involvement in strategic discussions and decision regarding potential new relationship models for CHCO and CUSOM Child Health Practice
    • Compensation plans
    • Leadership structure
    • Faculty support
    • Other design elements
  • Support and mentoring for leaders assuming work streams, including but not limited to STAR, Component agreements, Master Funding agreements, retention and GME
  • Support for Hospital Leadership in terms of strategy
  • Other areas of focus directed by Hospital leadership

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • MD or D.O degree
  • Board certified in a child health related field
  • Experience in academic medical environment and appreciation for community practice,
  • Substantial progressive experience in healthcare administration
  • Previous strategic and business operations experience.

Condition of Employment:
  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous strategic planning experience
  • Greater than 10 years of experience of clinical practice.
  • Progressive experience specific to academic research and teaching environment
  • Leadership role in medical staff organization activities
  • Management experience within the health care delivery system
  • Business operations experience
  • C-suite executive team experience and work

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates high integrity, fortitude, creativity and positive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to develop as well as execute strategies.
  • Knowledge of clinical best practices in pediatric environment and ability to develop futuristic strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering effective and collegial relationships with academic leadership, medical faculty members, community physicians and all other profession staff.
  • Capable of exercising forceful yet sensible cross-functional leadership; willing to make tough/unpopular decision.
  • Demonstrated capability in change management issues and strategies while maintaining respect for organizational culture and heritage.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$222.00 per hour

The above hiring rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
